Assalamu'alaikum.
Good morning, everyone! I hope you're doing well.
This is my first post in Ramadhan. In this post, I want to write about tenses.
Some people say that tenses are very difficult to learn. Indeed, they are right. Tenses are difficult. However, we can learn it easily by breaking down the aspects of each component in a tense.
1. Present -----> S+ V1
2. Past ---------> S+V2
3. Future ------> S+will/shall+Vo
4. Perfect ------> S+have/has+V3
5. Continuous--> S+to be+Ving
Now what formula do you want to know?
Present perfect tense
S+have/has+been+Ving (must be followed by since___ or for___)
eg. I have been watching TV since 2 o'clock.
Past perfect tense
S+had+V3 (to indicate something that had been accomplished in the past time)
eg. I had washed the car when you called.
That's all for today.
See you on the next post!
